Full StackDeveloper

I'm a full stack developer and I spend my days building web and mobile apps that actually go to production. I work from Portugal, remote, and on most projects I'm the only developer: I design the database, write the backend and the API, build the frontend, and ship the app build when the product needs mobile.

I don't really have a favourite language, but almost all my time goes into TypeScript, with Next.js and Node.js around it. Python when a service calls for it, React Native for mobile, and Postgres with Redis underneath most things. I also like the parts that aren't writing code: picking the stack, modelling the data, reviewing what goes in, and keeping things consistent so the project is still simple a year from now.

I've worked on online stores with live payments, multilingual sites, CMS and ERP integrations, and mobile apps in the stores. The part I'm proudest of usually isn't visible: a checkout that doesn't duplicate orders, queries that don't take the server down, tests that run before the deploy, and pages that stay fast after months of new features.

Right now I'm looking for a new team, somewhere I can keep building bigger things and stop being the only person reviewing my own code. If you have a project or a role, get in touch.
